Funding your lingerie brand in the UK

Grants, Loans & Mentoring You Need to Know

Launching a lingerie brand is more than just lace and labels — it’s business. Whether you’re sketching your first designs or sourcing eco-friendly fabrics, funding is key. The good news? There are UK grants, loans, and support programmes that can help turn your dream into a reality.

I launched my brand with my own money, a Princes Trust loan and secured grants along the way, which included winning ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ from Invest NI, getting money for a stand at Harrogate (1/2 paid) because it classed as showing overseas, getting 15 hours from a PR company from Invest NI when I completed a business course and also being chosen to go a part paid course with Belfast city council. Although I am not in Northern Ireland at the moment there are plenty of places to look for money and if in doubt then look towards your local council. Often these grants can be under the Fashion umbrella rather than lingerie.

I can only guide you with what I know but please check the website and investigate further as each brand is different and criteria does keep changing.
