Changing an underwire bra pattern to a soft bra pattern

Converting an underwire bra pattern to a soft bra pattern involves more than just removing the underwire. You'll need to make several adjustments to account for the lack of structural support.

I’ll show you three simple but essential pattern adjustments to transform your underwire bra into a beautifully supportive soft bra. (Spoiler: Simply taking the wire out won’t work.)

The entire design needs to be adjusted for lack of structural support.

The course gives you actual measurements for different size cups, so you know exactly what you should be changing and by how much and why. There is also a video talking you through everything. The three things you will change on your pattern in the length of the under-band, the centre front and the top of the cup near the centre front.

TESTIMONIAL

I recently bought “How to change an underwire bra pattern into a soft bra pattern” to modify my favourite, perfectly fitting UW pattern. It’s totally demystified the process, and given me a few other tips and tricks to take forward with my bra making. Looking forward to finally trying a non-stretch soft cup bra out on my E cup boobs when I can grab a moment for some creating soon!

By carefully modifying the structural components of your underwire pattern and adapting them for a softer, more flexible design, you can achieve a wireless bra that still offers the necessary support and a comfortable fit. If you have any questions whilst you change the pattern just message me with any pictures of your patterns and I’ll be able to help you.
