New Course - A one-on-one bra making course

Ever wanted to know the ins and outs of making an underwire bra? This course has you covered

This is a five session course, you will book in for one hour (preferably once a week) with a time that’s suitable for you and learn about how to make an underwire bra. The plus point of one-to ones means that although each session is mapped out, if you are wanting to know or do something slightly different I can accomodate it.

I will teach you the basics of making a bra, including sewing a hook and eye, making bra straps and attaching underwire bra casing

Each week we will build upon your knowledge, you will start with the cups and cradle in the first week, this allows you to sew with confidence and not have the pressure to finish a bra, and then when you are ready you choose a size that suits you from the pattern given.

The sizes start at a C - G cup. However if you are wanting to learn a AA-B cup I can provide a different pattern.

So what is in each session?

Session one:- Covering fabrics, trims and sewing. An in depth explore at how different elastics work and the correct ones to use for a bra. You will be given a cup and cradle pattern and be shown how to apply the bra tape and underwire casing before moving onto the full pattern.

Session two:- The full pattern will be given, You will be shown how to attach hook and eyes. Sister sizing is discussed as well as bra fitting. You will be shown how to make straps and attach elastics.

Session three:- You will be shown how to attach the wire casing under as well being shown over (in the pattern). You will also be shown how to use the pattern for galloon lace.

Session four:- This is where the fun starts you will shown how to make a strappy cage back of a bra.

Session five:- We will go over everything and anything you need more help on. Or if you have a preference to how you want to alter the bra pattern we can go through that.
