One-to-One Lingeri-E-courses grading and designing and making a soft bra
Drum roll…….. ta ta ta ta ta ta
Like a poor wee washer woman chained to her mangle, I have been in front of my computer teaching lingeri-e-courses back to back over the past few weeks.
Which has been epic.
E-courses are now crucial in today’s fashion landscape, I have been teaching the classes and now they are ready to go upon the website. The lingerie industry can be highly competitive and it constantly evolves, making it a challenge knowing where to start and how to build upon your skills. So this week there are three new services available.
Getting your lingerie fitted - not an e-course but a service I provide where by I look at your sample on the body (either through photos or video) then I talk over with you where it’s fitting wrong, what you should be looking for and how to fix it. I then write up a fitting report which you can use to alter your pattern or send the fitting report to the factory for them to alter the pattern and send you a new sample.
Designing & Making Soft Bras - A full and in depth look at making soft bras, the follow on from designing briefs, this four week lingeri-e-course provides the insight to make and design a soft bra, you will be given three different pattern during the weeks, be shown a look at different elastics and notions, be shown how to make straps and to attach elastic and hook and eyes. Patterns will start in dress sizes, then from A cup to DD cup then move on D to FF cup. You will also be shown how to fit the bra and alter the pattern so you create a patter that is designed for you.
Grading - In this lingeri-e-course You will shown the rules of grading and start with different styles of briefs, including any of your own designs, before moving on to soft style bras then onto cup size bras including underwired bras, there is also chance to look at grading larger cup sizes. If you have any patterns yourself we can work on those.
These lingeri-e-courses are all one-to-one courses like the brief course which is available, a student just finishing that course wrote this -

I have studies short courses at Central St Martins and The London College of Fashion and this was right up there. If not better. I could not recommend more highly, a 5 star learning experience.”
And she has just moved onto the soft bra lingeri-e-course.
