Grade tips, fabrics and what's new

Have mixed up the blog this week, as I’ve got lots of little tips to say, so I’m thinking of doing something like this more, lots of little bits about everything.

So round up of what i’ve told clients and think you should know and general stuff I’ve found out.

Grading tip: when drawing your grade cross do it a different colour and on your pattern draw the line through a pattern point, this will make grading easier to check and keep it straight and even.

Fabric shops: Awhile ago I asked you for places to get fabrics and have through my research as well, have gained near fifty shops worldwide, I’m hoping that the book they are going in will be out by the end of the year. I’m on a bit of a tulle love at the moment and one fabric shop that’s in the UK which I’m heading over to once I’ve got done a fit on the bra I have in tulle is Contour Atelier though don’t blame me for wanting everything and having trouble to pick.

I have this week written the e-course and next week should have a proper list of exactly what it covers and when it will be out, so far my dates are June or September - the reason so far apart is that school holidays hit and realistically I’m not going to be able to support those who come on the course if I release it in July or August.

So there has been lots of writing, planning and crossing out. And whilst we are on the subject on notebooks and sketch books, watch this space.
