New design sheets available (and free one)
I am releasing new design sheets for you, when I do one-to-one chats these are often ones that come up, often it’s all the paperwork parts that is tedious or you don’t want to seem like a newbie and not have the right information. Although easy to find and do yourselves, sometimes it’s better to spend your time doing designing or promoting your work rather than doing excel spread sheets.
So what is being released?
PURCHASE ORDER FOR FACTORIES
When you get to the stage of needing sampling from a factory or placing an order, a purchase order will be needed. These will have the following PO number (this is the number that will be used in correspondence with the factory, order date, your address, payments terms, shipping date, size break down, cost of goods and I always have a signature space on my sheets, for when the factory have received the form they can sign it and send it back so everything is clear. I also do one purchase order sheet for one style with a picture so not to cause confusion, and then if anything needs changing you’re not changing the whole sheet with other style on it.
PURCHASE ORDER FOR SHOPS
This is different to the PO for factories, it’s basically an order form to confirm the shops order, it will have your address, the shops address, PO number and date, Payment terms, delivery date and a list of everything being ordered including size breakdown and price.
LINE SHEETS
A line sheet is a clear and easy to read summary of all the product your are wanting to sell to the shops. It will include an image, pricing, product information such as materials and colours, sizes available, minimums to place and when the range is ready.
YEAR/MONTH AIMS
I often speak of looking back at what is working to go forward. This sheet is the same layout for month and year it all depends on whether you like to monthly track everything or do a yearly round up. Monthly will help you plan the next month as not only does this sheet cover what you have done - ie how much money you have made, how many products you have sold, it also covers the direction you want to go in, with prompts like “what shops do you want to be stock in?’ ‘how can i make that happen?’ so you go into the next month with a plan.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
When I launched my brand I spent about a day looking at terms and conditions and information for my delivery page (the terms and conditions page does do a round up on delivery information), I looked at how other people had worded it, then wrote it and re-wrote it after I’d missed something out. And whilst you can look at others peoples websites this page is laid out for you with prompts like ‘insert brand name’ ‘insert how many days for delivery’. It’s all pretty self explanation, but will save you time. This is the sheet that is free.
Why are all the sheets not expensive? Because all this information you can find out yourself, if you want to spend your time doing that and there are many templates out there.
These sheets are done in excel so you can type directly into them or print them out to fill, it’s all designed to so you can buy and print straight away knowing you have all the information you need for lingerie design so you know you haven’t missed anything out and you don’t have to cross reference with other design sheets. These are ones I have used in the past.
I’m hoping they help cut down the time spent on trying to do everything and give you the support and confidence of approaching a factory and shop knowing you have everything ready and correct.
All items are now available to buy from the design sheet section
