Importance of the centre front panel in a soft bra
If you’re designing bras or simply buying them, you may want to track down one with a centre front panel (can also be known as centre insert) - it’s the upside down triangle piece of fabric that goes between the cups. Not many bras have them but they are ideal for the following:
Small back/big boobs
Having a small back and big boobs, what can happen when you wear a soft bra is that because of the tightness of the band the cups can be pulled around towards the back causing breasts to spill out of the front of the cup (this is likely to occur when bending over).
Different size breasts
Have breasts which are a cup size or more difference can lead to one cup be baggy or the other digging into the tissue making it look like you have double boobs at the front. The centre panel allows for movement of the cups over the non symmetrical boobs.
Pregnancy
I touched upon this in another blog, about how your breast structure changes after pregnancy, the volume tends to go from the top (also as we age) this becomes more noticeable on larger size breasts.
BRA
What this (shown) bra does is hold the cups together ensuring that they don’t splay open when wearing. Breasts come in all different shapes and sizes, if you;re having trouble fitting into a soft bra with comfort and support try one with the centre front piece.
