SP-E-C-OURSE:
HOW TO SPEC A BRA AND BREIF
Start writing and understanding spec sheets
Ever seen a specification sheet and wondered how to read it or fill one out?
Or thought do I need one for my lingerie brand? If you are getting your lingerie outsourced you want to be able to understand a spec sheet even if you never have to write one.
That beloved sample that gets sent back to you that the factory wants you to sign off on to give the go ahead for production to start, it needs to be checked off size wise from the spec sheet.
Even if you have plans to outsource all the technical side of manufacturing, everything ends with you.
Wouldn’t you want to make sure there are no problems? That sample although has been Quality control checked over by the factory, I would always recommend measuring it yourself so you know everything is correct. The reputation of your brand is everything and although that spec sheet may look like a hard group of numbers to read I’m here to tell you it isn’t.
If you;re plan is to present the spec sheet to the factory for them to either grade off or make production from then you need not only to know how to understand it but how to write it as well.
You have a sample but what next?
If you have a sample that you are happy with the next step is to work out what to go in the corresponding size boxes - but how? What if I told you that all measurements (barr a couple) measure the same each time. The waist from a size M to L increases the same no matter if you have a high waist briefs, low waist brief or a thong. It’s just the case of learning the grade (how much it increases or decreases by. And guess what? All the answers are in this course.
