See the lingerie or the mannequin first?

Usually when designing lingerie, one of the last things you think about is how it'll look on a mannequin. American Apparel has set out to change that, by attaching merkins that are seen and peak out of the sides of lingerie. 

Always one to push boundaries and shock, this is just another way to for a press stunt. But should a little bit of hair be so shocking?
